Default 93 4L80E swap to a 2000

I know this topic is covered in a lot of forums so I wanted to ask an opinion. I have a 93 and the 4L80E needs a rebuild. Stuck in 2nd, brown fluid, burned smell, prob 200k on it. I have a line on recently rebuilt 2000 4L80E with 10k on it for almost half the price of a rebuild. I know there are electrical concerns, OBD I vs II, the valve body swap, etc. I do have the later main connector on the harness already.

Is it worth the trouble to get this 2000 to work on my 93? Should I just pony up and rebuild this one? Reliability is #1 of course.

FYI - this worked just fine. I had to do some fab on the crossmember and adjust the parking brake and shift cables. All else plugged right in and worked. I have seen so many threads on this topic but none ever decisive. Runs and drives just fine.
