Default TDC Learn Procedure??

the other day i replaced the cps. after doing so it would not start, only turn over. yesterday i got it to start but was hard. it takes a couple tries to get it to start but runs fine. i now have dtc 19, 29, 36(i know that they mean). i called a local chevy dealer and they said no the truck does not have to have a tdc learn done but ssdiesel says yes you do. what im wanting to know is does the truck need to have it or not? or will everything reset itself after driving?(which i have not done) 1994 K1500 6.5L Turbo Diesel

For a 94/95 a TDCO relearn can only be done with a laptop with the paid version of GMTD ScanTech,a tech 1 or a tech 2 with a obd1 expansion pack.

ONLY use AC Delco CPS- all others tend to be bad out of the box-BWD are notorious for not working from new.

I have read about a TDCO relearn needing done after a CPS,resistor or PMD change but have not nor do I do one for a CPS change only-Only IP changes or movements need the TDCO done IMHO.

I agree with racer here out of personal experience BWD are total crap AC/DELCO or NAPA CPS only I went through 3 BWD's before replacing with a NAPA CPS ran and started like new

I installed a napa sensor. Once the new crank pulley comes in and I get it on I'm going to drive it around for a while and see if the ses light goes off and how well the truck starts back up.

Even if the SES light goes out the codes will be stored till they are cleared.

Clear them and then you can see what hard codes return.
