Default 12 valve chevy swap

Allright i had my 6.5 diesel truck that i loved but totaled the truck last week so i figured id upgrade this time i went and bought a 95 5.9 cummins engine and im looking for a 90s chevy dually 2wd or 4wd. im doing a full rebuild on the cummins and the kdp fix. im using the gm nv4500 trans w dodge input shaft and retainer bellhousing and clutch plate.im also ordering motor mounts for the swap and plan on leaving truck stock height. had a question on the brake system if i bought a gas truck do those still use hydroboost and i have to plumb extra return line in dodge power steering pump? also tryna decide whether to fab up mount for gm alt or use dodge one with regulator.opinions? thanks

Most 88-98 Chevy gas trucks are vacuum assist I used a 94 cummins in my 99 Chevy old body and the vacuum line fit right on and worked perfect the Chevy power steering lines fit right in a dodge Chevy and dodge pumps and gear boxes are made by the same people so all the fittings fit perfect.

And as for the alt. question I have friends that run the gm one so the tac works. I went to pa performance for mine cause it's a dodge alt converted to a 1 wire hook up like old muscle cars. I did custom gauges in my truck but Iv done swaps to get stock gauges to work. If you have any questions just ask!

If i buy a gas powered truck dont i have to remove fuel pump from the tank and install a 6.5 diesel sending unit and remove fuel fuel filter and replace with hose?

My truck was a 5.7 gasser I left the sending unit so the gauge worked but I installed an airdog and the return line from the injection pump is hooked to the stock return and the other 2 spots are blocked off. Airdog comes with new lines. After market fuel pump I highly recommend for a swapped truck. Also if you keep ifs (independant front suspension) youll have to body lift or mod the oil pan. I straight axled my truck it's easier but on budget swaps Iv done Iv kept ifs and a 3500 seems to handle weight better then a 2500 and the pan was easy to mod just check welds for leaks first! also if you go intercooled I can send pics of my setup using my stock 94 dodge intercooler and radiator and how they mount
