Default Feed the beast fuel manager mod. Lessons learned

I got the Walking J Feed the beast kit. I striped off the intake manifold and removed the fuel manager. I did not realize it before hand but if you want to do this mod you have to drill and tap the fuel manager(FM). I assumed that because modifying the IP was just taking out one fitting and replacing it with another that the fuel manager would be the same. OOPS

The taping of the FM went ok. I needed a 11/32 drill bit and a 1/8-27 NPT tap. The fuel manager is aluminum so I was unable to go fishing for metal scraps with a magnet. You cant really blow out the tap hole either. So I ended up shaking out the FM and sucking out the hole as best I could.

I screwed on a 1/8 short nipple, 1/8 tee, 1/8 mpt x 1/4 barb, and the waling J fitting. I used a new rubber fuel return line Armor Mark/3/8 in. SAE J30R7 fuel and emission hose. I would have rather used something beefeer but i was rushing. Since I have not got everything put back together I might still either armor the line or get a short piece of Viton.

The thing that went wrong was the connection to the IP. After removing the IP fitting and discovering that it has a screen on it I switched out the fitting with the walking J fitting. I used a socket wrench to tighten it down and barely applied any force and the fitting snapped off. I contacted walking J and they said that this was not typical and that they would send a replacement. When the replacement arrives I intend to only hand tighten it and see if that holds.

Ill let yall know how it goes.
