6.5 need help asap
no fuel is coming out of it all until i shut the truck off, pull the fuel pump relay, hook a jumper up, and then fuel comes out of the water drain valve fast, good flow. then if i start the truck with the jumper already hooked up, and the lift pump running fuel stops , not even a drop comes out of the water drain valve at all. and the lift pumps still pumps but no fuel. its driving me crazy !
Sounds more like you have a restriction problem than a non working LP problem.
Sock in the fuel tank plugged?
Vent in the filler cap plugged?
last ditch screen in the filter manager plugged?
Fuel filter plugged, less likely but a concern anyway?

fuel filler cap is obvious.
in tank sock is in the tank on the end of the sending unit.
If an aftermarket sending unit has recently been installed it is a likely culprit-the sending units are being shipped with the wrong sock and have caused a lot of problems-replace with the original sock or remove sock completely and add an inline screen between the tank and LP.

Actually the removing the bed while a bit tougher is better for preserving the fuel lines and eliminates the weight of the tank-first thing people usually do with a fuel problem is fill the tank.
Especially if you have access to a two post lift. Block the truck tires good and lift the box only. The bed will line back up perfect doing it this way.
