Is the 8th digit a S or an F on the vin number on your truck?? if it is a S you are having EGR issues you may need to pull the upper part of the intake apart and do some cleaning as these places build up junk and will throw them codes and cause poor performance

Will that cause the truck to stall out at an idle?

No LP operation while the engine is running combined with a pin hole in the fuel line between the fuel level in the tank and the LP will cause a stall.

The oil pressure switch powers the lift pump when the engine runs and is a common failure point-replace with AC Delco ONLY!
Also google"OPS relay mod" as well as repair the fuel line air leak-often caused by a rotten sending unit on top of the tank.

Also replace the fuel return line at the frt of the IP with a piece of clear diesel rated fuel line-it is very useful to monitor the fuel flow for bubbles-bubbles indicate air intrusion and these IP's don't tolerate that very well.
