Hi guys, I'm brand new to the forum and have a 1996 crew cab gmc sierra turbo 6.5L. The garage has determined that the fuel injection pump is shot and I'm not wantin to spend the money on a refurb and I'm lookin on Ebay at the Standyne pumps that are up for auction.
Long story short, I'm wanting to know how to determine if the pumps are the latest upgraded pumps by GM. The ones i'm looking at have the 'grey' PMD but is there a model that I should shy away from ect.

Any help or comment is appreciated.

Not so much a model but certain vendors are best to steer clear of.
Also a model # ending in 5068 is absolutely not for you.

Find an IP you like and then google reviews on the vendor to see what has been written about them in the various forums.
