Ok so I bought this truck. Its a 96 2500 4x4 with 280,000 miles on it and it definitely has some problems.

So I was thinking about an engine rebuild, slapping a hx40w turbo on it, removing the vacuum pump and replacing the wastegate with a turbo master. BUT if I am going to do an engine rebuild I might as well get some internal performance parts for it.

So I was wandering what I can do engine wise to boost power?

I pull a trailer about 3 times a week so power is a pretty big thing.

Heath diesel has a coal cam for towing ..kinda pricey

 

HX 40 won't use a turbomaster,the wastegate is opened by boost not exhaust pressure.
