Default will a 1993 fuel pump fit in a 1999?

I havve heard that the 1993 fuel pumps are better because of increased capicity. I have an oppertunity to buy one for $100 but am not sure if it will fit my 1999 6.5TD.

1999 K3500 6.5TD

It will fit and if it is AC Delco it is the best stock lift pump you can buy for your truck.

Avoid parts store LP's-AC Delco/Delphi or high end aftermarket like FASS or Airdog only.

Ok are you talking about the lift pump or the injection pump?

If the injection pump then there is a great deal of difference between a 93 and 99 injection pump and they are not directly interchangeable and the 93 does not have increased capacity.

My mistake. I heard a lift pump or H/D unit from a 1993 would be a good mod. Then I got things twisted in my head.

Your pictures won't expand for me to get a good look.

The lift pump from rock auto is the mod you were told about and might need.

The injection pump as I said can be done but is not easy nor a benefit other than you won't ever have to worry about a PMD again.
