Bad cdr valve is most likely reason for oil in turbo ..small amount of oil in turbo wouldnt hurt but id change cdr valve anyway...theyre recomended as part of a tuneup ..as for blowby i wouldnt worry unless its a lot of smoke puffin out ...most likely has slightly worn piston rings or cylinder ...but id change the cdr n call it a day...its on passenger side valve cover it says notice this end up on it ..they usually go for 59.99 careful getting them at a local auto parts store as they usually call them a egr valve.

where did you get the cdr and what brand? I replaced my cdr with an ac delco unit and it did nothing to stop the oil but i have a 1/4 million miles and im sure there is blow by. Im looking to get a Mann provent, it goes in line between cdr and turbo, the oil goes through a filter and collects in the bottom preventing oil from going through the intake. But they cost $150

Ditch the K&N filter, they sacrifice filtration for flow and people often make the mistake of over oiling, not to mention a pain in the *** when it comes time to clean it.

Ok lets try this again....nothing will fix your blowby except a bore and a new piston rings job! thts what blow by is compressed air escaping past worn rings or cylinder wall.. No changing the oil filter wont help nor would the cdr help.the cdr will only hepl to keep oil outta the turbo if u replaced tht n still have oil goin into the turbo its probally a seal inside the turbine housing.

How can an oil filter cause blowby ?
What you are describing is pretty normal for a 6.5 with that kind of mileage. Unless it's blowing smoke out the breather I would not worry about it.
If it looks like this...you got problems...
