6.5 Thermostat location?

Default 6.5 Thermostat location?
Where is the Thermostat located on a 97 6.5? I need heat, and this thing is not producing enough to keep the windshield clear at -20C. Also what is the recomended winter thermostat temp?

There are 2 thermostats on a 97 and are located in the water crossover manifold where the upper rad hose connects to the engine.

195's are what you want for temps.

AC Delco ONLY for T-stats.

Because non delco generally do not have the proper bypass blocker built into them for correct cooling flow, also may not operate @ proper temperature

The local GM dealer has to special order them in. $55 each. Thats $110 , just to change thermostats. No wonder people are buying foreign.
