i have a 1993 chevy 3500 2WD its got low compersoint i have 1,300,000 miles on it and the place i use to get long blocks from went under and my 2002 duramax is dead to it needs injectors and im wondering if i should buy a long block for the 1993 or injectors for the 2002 pretty much witch one would be cheeper cuz 2,200 for injectors is more then i could do so i guess what im asking is can i get a 6.5 long block cheeper the injectors or something and both of em are for sell

 

holy crap im assuming you ment 130k not 1.3mil?

i would check a junk yard, 6.5 complete motors can go anywhere from $500-$1500. all depends where you look and what your willing to spend. personally i would rather a duramax than a 6.5 anyway

 

Don't limit your search to a 6.5,a 6.2 shortblock with 6.5 heads works quite well also,or even a good 6.2 longblock could work depending on if it had short injectors.

 

it has 1,300,000 miles on it use to be a hot shot truck this will be its 5th motor and i would love to fix my Dmax but i dont have the money and im probaly look for a junk yard 6.5 cuz about $450 $500 is all i have to work with and there is no way i can get 8 injectors for a LB7 Dmax with $500
