Can you tell me which sending unit this is it located on passenger side head at back and were i can find a wire diagram of it to trace wires, thinking ground in wires would be from it back toward the starter wire

If you were to post a picture of it,it would help.

I am leaning towards it being a glow plug sensor,but that is only used on mechanically injected engines in my experience.

A diagram from a 92,93 6.5 would be what you are after if that is the case.

Does your truck have an electronic throttle peddle or a cable connected to it?

the peddle has a cable from it to i guess the throttle body cable is about 2 ft long. will get picture in morning, what i have found else where it maybe called a fuel injection pump cold advance solenoid engine cool switch found that on another site they also call it BWD - Efi Cold Start Switch

Ok so you do have mechanical injection,that would indicate that your system is equivalent to a 92,93 6.5 and the wiring diagrams should match them.

Here is the switch again I believe:

With that info it would still seem to me that you have wires melted together inside the wire loom somewhere.

Duplicate of the above posts,what in those answers did not apply to you?

Also you should be looking for a short circuit to power-not a ground.
