repeat issue, still no answer
I read the post on Jan 30,2012 by Diesel4Dummies. I am having the same issues of stalling dying and running when it wants to (kinda like my wife). Have fuel to fuel filter and water seperator 't'. Open the 't' fuel runs, shut it and starts for few seconds and dies. Ran fine earlier in the day. Leaning toward stuck fuel shut off sylanoid or oil pressure sending unit not turning fuel shut off slanoid on. Crazy seemed to know his stuff and would like his or anyone elses input on this problem. Doubt its the PMD since it was a cold engine and 78 degree day. HELP my wife is loosing sleep because of my research. Thank you, Jeff.

I have the code 35,84,99. and the darn thing decided to start and run fine after checking codes. I even shut it off and it restarted.

ops may be the answer.
If i read right the ops is the oil pressure sending unit, and that controls the fuel shut off sylanoid on the injector pump is this correct. could it be the pmd since its still located on the injector pump. How can a person check the OPS and the PMD before replacing them. Thanks again for your help I'll be on for a while yet tonight to correspond on this issue.

The OPS controls the LP(Lift Pump) if its not readind at least 7 PSI it will shut off the LP causing the engine to stall or die,However the PMD in its stock location is a very bad place it will not give codes when it's on the way out anywhere under the hood IMO is a bad place I have mine mounted behind the front bumper as do alot of other electronic 6.5 owners Deisel Care in Memphis is where I got mine from they are very knowledgeble and make their own products for the 6.5 along with the relocation cable

hope all this helps

OK that pretty much rules out the OPS i was leaning towards the PMD but didnt want to overlook the $20 part that will make the truck stall die as well if you decide to replace the PMD I want to ad that you should get the biggest heat sink you can get as to disapate the heat from it bigger heat sink is better
