82 chevy c20 6.2 cranks really slow

Ok i charged both batteries all the way 12.90v replaced all battery cables and grounds with heavier gauge wires...cleaned all grounding mounting points...new terminals on all wires...still acts like batteries are weak bearly cranks motor over...can hand crank motor over it is hard but no noise...maybe advance auto parts starter test is not effective...I don't know if I am brave enough to stick a 2x4 in a high torque starter...that sounds really dangerous...any ideals

i removed the starter again going to give the bench test with a 2x4 a try...

Dang, sounds like yer in a tough spot. Even though the block ground connection looks clean, clean it anyway with a battery cable cleaner. I cant tell you how many times I thought the connetions were fine on a piece of equipment that started after cleaning the connections of the batterys and grounds.

Im inclined to believe you may have a weak starter. How about higher CCA batteries? 650 CCA seems kinda low to me.

Get a volt/amp meter and hook it to your main battery. Crank the engine and see how much voltage/ amp draw there is. Too much draw will indicate starter.
