mad Starter troubles 94 Chevy K2500 6.5 turbo

Can use some help on a starter problem I'm having with my vehicle. Turning the key to start and no response to the starter, but the gages react on the dash. Put a volt meter to the solenoid 'S' terminal and had someone turn the key to start and no current to that wire and all lights and accessories are working properly. The battery wires to the battery both have voltage 13.3 even past the fuse link. The purple wire is dead.
Any help is appreciated to guide me on a check of the system. Batteries are new and I recently changed the alternator because of a bad bearing in the alternator.
Does anyone know where the purple wire is attached to and how to check the ignition switch and neutual safety switch? Car is eguipped with a Chapman aftermarket alarm system that I have reset several times and seem to be ok.

Try to start it in neutral. Other than that check your fuses and relays. Could be the ignition switch. Just some ideas
