Default 98 6.5 no power stalls after 15 minutes of driveing

my truck has run great sense i bought it 2 years ago and now it needs to roll over severel times before it starts its a standard and i used to be able to get going without any throttle at all but no it needs to be at 1000 rpm to get moving and until 1300 rpm the truck rocks back and forth in every gear. when i drive it for more than fifteen minutes it usually stalls and i need to pull over for 2 or 3 minutes. somtimes it doesnt stall but less often than not.

Welcome to the site.

When was last fuel filter change, what is the health of your lift pump, how many PSI does it have at cruise speed when truck is loaded up,

I'd change filter 1st thing if it hasn't been changed in a while, as you can get bad fuel even day after you changed the filter, I always carry a spare with me.

Get a $20 pressure/vac test gage from part store and some hose run it into the cab hooked to the gage and to the filter mgr drain with the tee handle valve open, start truck you should see +5 psi at idle preferebably +6-7 close hood watch gage maksure needle moves still and reading isn't deadheaded from chrushed rubber hose.

Go for a test drive stomp it and see what pressure does if it drops below 1 psi but comes back up to +3 psi is is weak but okay, if it hangs at 1 or less or a long time at zero before recovring then lift is bad or you have a clogged pickup sock in the tank

Could also be PMD but I want you to trouble shoot the free stuff to check 1st, also the gnds on pass side rear intake manifold stud, that is the gnd to the PCM if cruddy or loose that can cause the "fishbite" jerking you seem to be describing.

Using one brand of fuel really means nothing secret most stations regardless who's name on the storefront is from the same fuel truck/terminal depot, what you want to do is to buy from somebody who sells a lot of Diesel fuel, a station that does not have good volume turn over can have a lot of algae & water in it if not rotated.

Also if you are pumping slow move on that tank is at bottom where crud settles, also you don't want to fill up after the truck is filling or just finished as it stirrs the muck off the bottom of the tank.

Good to hear biting has gone for now keep us posted

Have you cracked open an injector line and checked for fuel there when cranking it over?
Glow plugs working, getting power-check with a test light to confirm, not just by the light in the dash.
Have the glow plugs ever been replaced?
