I am getting this code 46. any suggestions?

 

DTC code 46 is a anti theft code do you have pass key?? if so you may one day not be able to start your truck

 

They way it was explained to me when I had the code pulled was the way the light worked was by a ground that turned on or off the light, and my ground was not working, but I didn't know where it was and I didn't feel like tearing out the dash without knowing.

What is a pass key?

 

It is G.M.s antitheft deal you must have key with the computer chip in it to be able to start the vehical

 

So what do I do to clear this code?

 

Have you tried unhooking the batteries yet? that is where I would start

 

Yes couple of times, its the check engine light and it stays on

I have no clue had a 1993 Z28 with that in it and it went out I was not able to drive it until the dealer fixed it luckily it was warrantied sorry I couldnt be more helpful other than you may have to get a key made
