Default 6.2 problems

Hi guys, I have a 1500 GMC 6.2 with running issues. It wont stay running on a colder morning (around 15 Celsius) I cant hear the fuel pump run every time I crank, sometimes it will sometime it wont. I wired in a light parallel to the fuel pump to see if it was getting power/ground and so far it has both (the light stays lit) sometimes. >_>

How does the fuel pump get its power? I understand the oil pressure switch sends power to the relay then the relay sends power to the pump? Is that correct?

Thanks for the help guys :P

Yes the oil sending unit controls the LP if you run a wire from the positive terminal on you're battery to the G terminal on the OBD1 port under you're dash after opening the T valve and fuel comes out of it you should probally change the OPS

So sending power down the G terminal Will send it through the OPS, and then to the Relay (causing it to *click*) and ultimately the LP? Sorry I don't have a schematic. Thanks for the quick response!

I should change the ops if fuel comes out? Putting power to terminal G in NOT suppose to make the LP run?

Power to terminal G will make LP run if it is good this is helpful when bleeding the fuel system as well
