Make sure you have adaware SE

I didnt and went about 3 weeks on new puter finnaly got the SE and it found 300 Things now i scan once a week and find over 200 eack week

I didnt think it was nessasary on a new puter i was wrong

How many of those are cookies? I clear my cookies before I let it run.
On XP I run Adaware SE every few months or if I think I might have a problem and only come up with 1 or maybe 2 small things. Sounds like one more reason to stay away from Vista.

i ran Adaware,
my norton security software thought my computer was under
ATTACK!!!!! and the norton stuff shut-down the Adaware SE stuff....
and norton sent me all kinds of messages.....
the norton stuff acted as if it was a watch dog who caught a burglar.....

my 15 year old son sometimes uses this computer....
he's already been on most of the other computers in our neighborhood....
he says our computer is the fastest.....
he thinks and i agree our norton (anti-virus) security stuff might be doing it's job....

 

i just bought a new puter with vista about 2 months ago. are you saying that the adware program on the computer is not working? if so i need to get adaware. i used it on my old puter with win 98 and it was great, but didnt think i would need it with this fancy new puter and its security programs.

 

Who's done the upgrade to vista? I bought one before it came out now they sent me vista.... im not sure if i want to do it!
Ever notice how many things you come up with when you search for somthing like say Wicked Diesel, But type in Vis and forget windows vista and it takes you right to the MS homepage? hahaha

 

I won't upgrade this POS laptop to vista, but I will run vista if I ever get around to buying a new computer. If I do buy a new laptop, you can bet adaware will be on it.
