My hometown is BURNING DOWN!!!
Well my folks house didn't burn down in the Little Bear Fire in Ruidoso NM. It burned all the way up to it and all around it but the house is still standing. So far it has taken an estimated 100 homes since its flare up on Friday 6/8/2012. It stated out as a 4 acre lightning snag. That has grown up to 50,000 acres in 2 days.
Several of our neighbors have lost everything. Thankfully we only lost a goose neck trailer. Keep your prayers going to the folks who have lost homes and those who will lose homes during this fire season.
-Below are a few pics of my folks home and some others of the fire in action.

These are pictures from my folks house. As you can see it got very close but didn't burn it down. The reason it didn't burn down was due to our thinning efforts and removing of ladder fuels to keep the fire out of the tree crowns.
