I like the design pictured in the plate that is in the original post-

As to say for a front plate, I dont see why its such a big deal, if its the law its the law. Have one- I mean... granted if you have a winch bumper up front or whatever, I really dont see any other problem- We're all Americans here (cept for the Canucks and a few others) but I mean yeah... Cant we just abide by the law?

The new one looks good, better than the old one. At least there is color. We had a blue plate with white letters for 10 or so years here in the 80's and 90's. Guess we were trying to save ink??

The plate itself is but the artwork, colors, and reflective overlay are installed by 3M at a plant in Brownwood, Tx. Not sure what the convicts have to do with us choosing a new plate though.

I don't mind a design, but I think they look bad when there is too much and it looks like a painting on my bumper.
