Default the "F" word

ok so i have owned my 86 Nissan 300zx for 7years now. the last 4 years she's just been sitting around. i have got tons of money invested.

i have advertised in 2 of the local swap in and sell it guides and even tried ebay.

i love the car but i realize i can't hold on to it forever. and i have no garage to store it in. so i think it should go to a good home and be used instead of sitting my yard..

so today a guy came around and offered me a trade for a 1989 FORD
F150 4X4 short bed 302 v8 with just over 100,000 miles.

i dunno if it's a good deal but i figure the ford will be easier to sell.
up here in Maine every one has use for a truck especially a 4x4.

lets face it most people can get through life with out a sports car.
but a truck has many uses.

My opinion...let er go....at least YOU can use the truck to some extent if it doesnt sell quick, but i agree it should be much easier to sell!

Good luck!

I'd say go for it...just picked up an old beat up 82 150 from my cousin for free...old inline 300...it smokes a little but runs great...nothing but inline sixes over around here......no crappy v8's. gonna keep the topper off of it for a doghouse and sell the pos...hoping for maybe 750-1000 dollars...hey it was free.

those are pretty solid trucks. they were still decent to work on back then. i had an 87 bronco and a 91 f-150. beat the living hell out of the bronco from 80k to 140k. maybe changed the oil every 15 if i felt like it. keep a spare ignition module and socket with ya and u should be fine. also look out for the plenum gaskets leaking which will lead to a high idle. they'r also notorious for intake and valve cover gasket leaks.

i say do it. get more use IMHO.

the only thing bothering me is that z's have truly been my passion.
up until these last few years when i went back lobstering. being self employed the business need the funds more then my toys.

i have had 77 280z 80 280zx 81 280zx and my 300zx
also a 1988 nissan pick up 4x4, 93 pickup 4x4, a 95 2wd and a 88 pathfinder

This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't do it. You never know what kind of crap is wrong with the truck. And as you said trucks sell better there. Why would he just want to trade it for a car? Just something to think about bud, I wouldn't want to see any of ya get screwed. At least you know what is up with what you have. I would just sell it out right or nothing. But as I said this is just my opinion.

my cousin has the truck. he buys swaps and trades all the time.
ford trucks are real easy to get parts for the the junk yard.
i'm not saying that to be funny. but it's the truth.
up here 300z's are rare. hard to get parts for.

i been trying to sell it out right for the last few years and no go.
i just don't want it to sit around any more.
rather see some one get some use out of it.

no sorry it's a 86. tt's didn't come out till 90'
the car is non turbo but i do have a single turbo engine (vg30t) with 30,000 miles that goes with it.
