I would recommend a .45! It's simple, easy to handle, accurate, It will stop most anything and the ammo is cheap!

The only good thing out a NATO was the 7.62.

Glock and Sig all the way. I'd personally trust nothin else for personal protection. If your in a jamb you don't want to worry about a cheaper version and if it's gonna jamb. You want one that is gonna work every time with any type of ammo you can fit in it.

for a female carry gun i would say either a smith & wesson lady .38 or a small frame .380 with some good hydroshock hollow points. like mentioned above the keltec .380 is a great cheap gun. and can fit in a pocket and go unnoticed. once you get into the 9mm or the 40cals you are getting a bit too big to conceal easy. now if you wanna spend the money there are 9mm out there that are just as small as the .380s...my everyday carry is a AMT backup .380 i can conceal this gun even if i am wearing shorts and a t shirt and i am a small guy...i like how everybody thinks bigger is better. now i am not knocking anyone so please dont think that. what is more important is placement. i can stop someone just as quick with a .380 as others with a .45....last year the .22 mag killed more people in this country than any other caliber.... here is something for ya to look at there is alot of great info...... www.smallestguns.com

If your wife has a Texas CCW permit, Wyoming will honor it per CCW reciprocity agreements.

You fill out a form, the FFL calls in to the FBI and checks you out, you're out the door in about 1/2 hour or less.
