Default Rough Holiday For My Family

I sure will be glad when this year is over. The Sunday before Christmas my aunt and uncle lost everything they owned to a house fire. It really stink because there has been three generation of my family raised in this cabin. FIre department told us it was the worst house fire they had ever seen. They saw it coming across the valley and the fire chief told then they were about to wald through the gates of hell on this one. Took two days to get it completely out. My dad is the one talking and I'm in the green coat.

Thanks Kevin, been a rough year for everyone in my family. This one will be one we are glad to see go. We all know that we are not crazy though and the place really was haunted. When they were putting it out they saw a person standing in the window up stairs. They hit it with the hose and watched it disapear. The other night I was in our barn looking up that way working on the truck and something was looking at me. I shined my light on it and it disapeared back into the house.

I think somebody was standin to close to the smoke for their own good.

I think strange things are just a part of old homes. I've lived in the house I'm in right now off and on for about 20 years now and it's just been a part of livin here to know your sharin it. They've never done anything mean or bad though so we don't mind. It's like they just want you to know they are there and as long ayou know it they are fine. Lights turn on and off repeatedly until you ask them to quit and then they will. I quit even gettin up at night when I hear somebody walkin up or down the stairs, our bed is right below the stairwell and you can hear every footstep but I already know nobodies there. When my kid was young he had a Christmas teddy bear that played music when you pushed it's paw. Damn thing kept playin off and on while the kid was asleep. I just figured it was fallin over and pushin the button when it did,so I kept goin upstairs and movin it around. Bout the 3rd trip I had my fill and was gonna pull the batteries. Woulda been a good idea if there had been any batteries in it. So I told it to quit and it did.

I feel for your family Andy, it's seems to have been a rough season all over. We came home from our Christmas vacation early cause a neighbor called and said the ice had all the power out to the barn and all the water was froze solid for critters. Came home and got that fixed up and a couple days later had a tornado come through and trash the barns and my shop with tools in it. So I'm with ya, I'm glad this season is past so things can settle down now.
