Agreed.
IMHO, the "vette" stigma went away with the intro of the C6 (at least for me). Even in non Z06 clothes, that car is no slouch. I'm a big Porsche fan, but am really rooting for the ZR1 to shame the big boys at the track.

 

it's alright i guess.... i'm not a GM fan too much.... the clear spot in the hood is the gayness though....

 

How will this car compare to the Ford GT40? I think its great that Ford and Chevy are getting into the exotic/super car scene and hopefully showing they've got something!

 

I've wanted a vette since I was 13. I'd still take any year.

If you only knew how Hennessey ran his business. There are so many people who have paid him money to have cars built and never got one. They would come to Houston to see him personally because their calls were not being returned. They would find what was supposed to be there car on jackstands in the parking lot missing a ton of parts and had been for 6 months. I will never buy anything that has to do with him regardless of what make it is.

Not too mention Hennessey has had problems keeping clutches and trannies in those cars. My buddy saw the first one of those cruising Westheimer one Saturday night. Caught up to him in his vette and tried to get a race (John was driving it himself). John told him he couldn't because the tranny would scatter if he got on it too hard. Plenty of power, but you need to get it to the ground reliably.

 

I don't give a rats ***...it's my dream so in that dream it's a 12 speed tranny and does 450 mph ...real cool looking car though.

 

Maybe like baseball and apple pie.

 

Kinda hard to buy a car that doesn't exist. Good luck getting one when they finally do build the "Blue Devil" since there are millionaires who have already paid cash up front for the limited production beast and most wont even get one. Initial run is only supposed to be 100 cars.
