Dogs that don't need shot have the owner attached with a leash,otherwise they're a menace.

 

Here, that's not an issue. You do have to report shooting an aggressive dog though. Animal control hand delivers the carcase to the owner. That's the fun part.

 

This sounds more like an "owner" problem than a "pet" problem.

 

It is, but hopefully it will be one that is not repeated. In the mean time, we don't take chances with our safety.

 

A good friend of mine, living in a small community,was having trouble with a dog going through his trash. He talked to the owner about it and was assured that it was't their dog tearing up the trash. He looked out his window, a short time later, and saw said dog in the trash,picked up the .22mag and dropped the dog, walked to his can stood it up threw the dog in with said trash and went inside. A short while later the neighbor shows up on his porch wanting to know if he had shot "Sparky". He said he didn't know who Sparky was but had indead shot a dog going through his trash. They said "Sparky dosen't get in the trash." He said "I guess it wasn't sparky I shot then."
