Holy Crap! What are these toy manufactures thinking? I think these toys are made to survive any disaster as long as there in the package! My 2 year old turned 2 today and I just tried getting this Ariel doll. They had the hands and feet stitched into the cardboard box, then there were the 2 salary ties holding her to the box and then half of the tie was taped down with packing tape, then both of the ties were taped over again. All for a toy! I remember when I was a kid you took the toy out and it maybe had a couple pieces of tape. I've also seen these new toys screwed into the boxes. Seems like a waste to me!

 

Anything to cut down on theft in the store... if its still got the package stuck to it, its harder to hide in your bag/clothing...

 

That pissed me off too. You have to have a pair of linemen pliers and plasma cutter to get the damn toy out.

 

its just those pissed off chinese people getting paid .01 cents a toy to package them, they got to take their anger out somewhere, best way to do it is on the people having to open them.......
