Anyone here snowboard? Ive been down the slopes on skis a few years back but Id like to try snowboarding. Im hunting for a board/gear currently.... anything to look for?

I might try it for the first time this winter with my kids....I have skied for years but I cant offer ya any advice about boarding...keep us posted how it goes!

 

Ill have 6yr olds whooping on me since Ill be on the kiddie hill for awhile ahhaha

at no point in time in my existence will i bolt a 2x8 to to my boots and go hurdling down the side of a mountain at half the speed of light........now ill do it on an inner tube though.........

 

i ski and snow board and if you have skiied before and plan to try snow boarding its difficult at first and weird to get used to cause your feet are stuck together. make sure you either have a hottub or bathtub to soak in cause you'll be a little sore.

 

or a medic close by.. i used to snowboard, till i wiped out and tore my mcl.......reco surgery after that and wont risk blowing it again,, sudden stops , and HARSH wipe outs, cause injurys to wrists , necks and knees... get lessons first......id rather ski.....son has a Butrin board.. make sure your equipment fits.......

 

geez you guys must be weak or something. Ive spilled on my dirtbike plenty of times... snow cant be any worse than clay/gravel. Thanks for the advice. Im picking up gear here and there. I cant wait to go!

 

ive horribly maimed myself on and in all kinds of vehicles, wont snowboard though, dont help being 6'4 and 340 pounds either.....
