I dont know if this has been discussed yet but Im curious as to how many members are using ATT or Verizon FIOS?
And how has it worked for you so far?

Dont have neither i have satilite internet and it sucks

 

Verizon DSL here..... signed up for 3.0MB service but was told after I got the service that due to my location I could only get 756K....

 

It'll be sweet if you can get FIOS.

Unfortunately, you might likely have faster connection than many websites have bandwidth.

 

We have verizon DSL, and its pretty decent. I think we are getting full speed. I tried to sign up for Verizon FIOS, but we can't get it here.

What is FIOS?

 

It stands for Fiber Optic Service.
New comunication type of wire the phone companys are going to.

 

I think it's rated at like 100Mbit/s

 

Just as an update.
We got the FIOS service installed and up and running.
For Christmas my DW surprised me with a new custom built Dell desktop.
Between the FIOS and the new computer, I didnt realize internet surfing could be so quick.

 

Got a 5 meg only downloading 756. This is why we call em sh**rivers
