Yep. You can also use gool old, original formula, Hoppes 9. It was first developed in 1903 when corrosive primers were the norm and is formulated to "Remove Corrosive Primer Residue". Says so right on the bottle.

AIM surplus is another good place to get ammo. They've also got 91/30 for $70 right now. Hex receivers are $80. I've been keeping my eye out for a M44 but so far I haven't found one locally.

Yeah. Mosin's are cool. Yeah they're crude as hell but they shoot GOOD. I recently read a magazine article (i'll see if i can find it) where the writers pitted two 1903 Springfields, two K-98 Mausers, a British Enfield .303 and a Mosin Nagant 91/30. All with original, or proper reproduction scopes and WW-2 dated ammunition.
The results were surprising to say the least. The Mosin soundly kicked the crap out of everything involved and was still able to print a 16" group @ 1000 yards with 65 year old Commie ammo and an original 3.5x PU scope!
Some of the rifles were printing groups LARGER than that at 300 yards!

The article is in the Feb 2011 issue of Guns Magazine. I looked around but couldn't find it online. Sorry.
