Yes they are. I've been kind of pushing toward a Rav4 but it's out of the budget......for now.

get her a Cherokee. You can get em in a four door with a 4.0L inline six that will live forever.

Yeah I was wanting to get her a Cherokee but her ma wants something a little more economical. That was my first choice for her.

my buddy with a five speed cherokee with 33's gets 23mpg...so that's good in my book...but.

What about Isuzu trooper or rodeo? Are they very reliable? Asking cause I ma looking for something else.

Another vote for an XJ or a Hodeo (Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo)

Ya just can't beat the XJ for price value, replacement parts cost and durability.
