Welcome to Virginia... This state (Hampton Roads in particular) probably has some of the worst drivers around... Some people blame it on the awful road system around here... Others blame the military and say its becasue of the young kids or people from so many other places that are stationed here... Whatever the cause, it is usually a pretty crappy place to drive.
I think you're right about the second picture too. How sad...

Well, I have a friend who is a f***ing idiot...
He had a Kawasaki Ninja 250, first bike he ever had, rode it 4000km in one season, then decided he was king enough to jump to a Z1000....I told him he's out of his mind, he'd come riding with me while I'm only on a 250, I'd say before every ride, "don't do anythign stupid man, keep it down." I felt like I was his father, he just got so retarded when he got on that thing....
2 months later I was on a ride with him. I was doing 90km/h on a tight windy road, speed limit is 80km/h through this section, there's lot's of deer and other hazards...He slowed down and let me catch up, then pinned it going into a corner. He pulled away from me fast, but not insanely fast...I come around the corner, and he's gone... No dust, no smoke, no sound, nothing, no cars.. I just thought "Damn, he must have REALLY pulled away"...long story short, I couldn't find his ***, and the EMS called me on my cell 1hr later saying he was en route to the hospital back in the big city....
He broke his right femur in 2 places and now has a 4" Ti rod inside the bone. He also had some disgusting deep puncture wounds from the barbwire fence that he was suspended in while he waited for an hour for EMS to find him in the ditch on the side of the highway. I was so mad at him, honestly, he was a f***ing idiot. Very few of my friends have made me so mad at their blind ignorance, but he chose not to listen to anyone, and now he learned the lesson the hard way.
So, that was in July...he's lucky he didn't get killed. His accident was pretty minor considering what could easily have happened. He didn't even lose any blood from the broken femur, which is really surprising. And just 2 weeks ago he bought a used Triumph 955. He still wants to go fast. He has been riding this one really slow at first, but once he gets settled we'll see if he really has learned his lesson. He takes it a lot cooler in the corners, but man, what an experience that was. I didn't ride my bike for two weeks.
