I have the same issue when I am in my service truck. I am kinda torn on what to do though. When they are that close the service body is wider then what their headlights can project, therefor I don't get headlights in my mirrors. On the other hand, I always point my 2, 8" work lights straight back and down a little. One flip of a switch in the cab and the stupid bugger behind me will get the hint. I've done both, and it seems after I blind them they back off a little, turn their high beams on and either sit there or eventually pass. Luckily for me the power mirrors can be turned out so their attempt to blind me is useless. My lights on the other hand are still aimed at their face!

I don't know why it pisses me off since they're going to be the ones at fault if something happens. I guess because I believe it makes them feel like they have authority.

What really pisses me off is when they get on your *** even though they can get in the right lane to pass you up.

Then, d**** on sport bikes riding you ***...yeah, screw that. I'll enjoy watching that person getting hurt.

You know I'm only seeing one side of these stories. I've been on the receiving end of a brake check.

Story:

I was heading up a 2 lane road around 10pm. The speed limit was 55mph and I tend to follow it pretty closely. Well some dick decided that he couldnt wait at a stop sign for an extra 5 seconds for me to pass and he pulled out in front of me. That irritated me. Then the dick decided he wasnt going to run the speed limit .. he wanted to run 10 under ... that made me mad. I wont turn on my high beams to blind someone but i will work their rear view mirrors with my headlights. Well apparently this dick didnt enjoy me keeping my headlights in his mirrors so he tried a brake check (I wasnt anywhere near close enough for a proper brake check). Boy was I ready for it ... he slams on the brakes, I drop a gear, spool the turbo and away I went around him ... it was like a scene from days of thunder ... except there was more smoke.

Bad and inconsiderate drivers really make me mad ... seriously, a little consideration for your fellow drivers makes everyone happier and safer. Take my story for example. If the guy that pulled out in front of me had waited 5-10 seconds longer at the stop sign this story wouldnt exist. He wouldnt have pulled out in front of me (which was stupid and dangerous). I wouldnt have blinded him with my headlights (which was stupid and dangerous). He wouldnt have tried a brake check (which was stupid and dangerous). I wouldnt have gone around him leaving him in a cloud of smoke (which was stupid and dangerous). One little, inconsiderate event could have lead to an accident destroying both of our vehicles and sending us to the hospital with serious injuries.

Just something to the think about.

I hate when you get on a highway going 3 lanes each way and it seems like every moron in the world wants to ride in the hammer lane doing 40 in a 60. I don't know why but this pisses me off to no end. Blocking 3 lanes of traffic is rediculous. And yes i'll admit it does **** me off and makes me tailgate to at least get them up to the speed limit to where they'll pass the slow lanes so i can get over and pass, and it's shitty when you have to get out of the hammer lane into the slow lane to pass someone in the hammer lane. But with my lift and tires my headlights hit the rear view in any vehicle perfect

It's not hard to understand left lane is for passing and people that want to do the speedlimit or over. If you want to ******* go 10-20 MPH under the speed limit stay in the ******* slow lanes!!!! I'm not directing this at anyone here just venting my terrible road rage against morons

Rant off.

Exhaust brake is the best. No lights......

Then when they give you the international sign language, just wave back and smile.

we had moron a couple summers ago that thought he would tailgate us while we we hauling hay one night. Lets just say it wasnt the brightist idea. we caught him between the trucks and the lead would slow down and the rear would speed up. We kept this up for about a couple of miles or so before he could get around us

i dont worry as much about people brightlighting my rearview any more thanks to the flatbed but i hate someone that rides my bumper and also thanks to the flatbed people decide to pass or slow down after the brake lights flash or i just get the notion to black em out and show em what that old farm truck has.

I haul oilfield equipment and most if it is oversize. It just amazes me that someone can be stupid enough to pull out in front of a big truck with signs that say oversize load and big flashing beacons, also have a full Aliarc front bumper. I mean suriously what is running through their little pee brain at that point in time and tells them to pull out??? The bigger the load the worse it seems to be. When I'm in my Dodge I just cover them in soot. Rather entertaining to watch them go around the cloud.
