Default Windows 7 trouble!

My old 'puter died, video card/motherboard. Fortunately the hard drive survived. I bought a new 'puter with Windows7, but I'm having problems.
Internet Explorer keeps quitting. A window opens which says "internet explorer has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution to this problem."
Then another window opens up, "your last browsing session closed unexpectedly. "restore your last browsing session; go to home page".
Anyone know what to do?
Been back to the 'puter store once, Java needed updated. Next step is to reload Windows, I guess.

try to down load the newest version of internet explorer or as I call it internet exploder
The only reason I use IE is for windows updates
when you get a stable version of IE down load all updates for windows 7 that you can then get a different browser to use for your internet use ( firefox, chrome, opera ect.)
I have noticed that everytime I shut off my lap top there is at least 6 to 7 updates to down load first
never stop an update from completing as it usually screws the operating system up

Humorous, but not really helpful!
I'll try getting the most recent updates.
The funny part is FireFox runs perfectly, I'm just concerned that the IE trouble will cause bigger trouble down the road.

My Adobe Reader was the old 5.0 version, I updated to 9.5 and it seems OK now. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes anyways.

Try a BFH. Seems to cure all my computer problems.
But yeah, its not just 7 with problems. My computer with Vista has been going through the same crap.

Might make us feel better, but doesn't really solve the problems. Apparently it's just Windows that sucks, I'm on Firefox now and not having any problems.
