The casing on my well collapsed the night before last. We had to winch out the pipes and pump, that took about 6 hours. The DNR should be happy because we got everything out of the old casing. I figure it gave way at 50 to 60 feet down. 
Time for a new deeper well. The driller said he can't start until next Tuesday. That should give me time to run power and a control circuit across the basement and do plumbing prep work.

How many times are you going to smack me in the back of the head?They just started drilling today at 11:00..........OK make that the crack of noon.
I finished all of the inside stuff last Sunday. Now I'm waiting to dig the trench and tunnel under the footings for the water line.

It gets better, the well driller told me that he would be drilling until 1700 or 1800 last night. I left at 1600 to do a showing at a rental, returned at 1645 and they had left already.
I'm loosing all hope of having this project buttoned up prior to leaving on vacation this Friday night.

SUNSET,Your awake and posting early today.
You must be leaving early today. The well driller bottomed the casing out on limestone bedrock at 132' around 1400 yesterday.
Now he is drilling into the bedrock 30' more today, so that I won't have to put in a $800 stainless steel screen. The well is flowing @ 10 GPM
I called off the well setter / plumber yesterday because there won't be enough daylight left today for me to trench and backfill prior to leaving for vacation.
