i voted other. i am listening to pretty new country (didnt grow up on it so dont know most the old) as i type this; though i listen to damn near everything. chances are if im listening to FM radio, i will look for ANY station thats playing music in english (yes ebonics IS english) and not SPANISH or commercials.
i listen to lots of rock, classic rock, some RAP, bit of independent hip hop (aka underground), oldies, used to (and occasionally when my itunes with 5000+ songs is on shuffle) techno/trance, and yeah... pretty much anything cept like opera. even some classical now and then.
sometimes even listen to the mexican polka type music for the hell of it, some of that stuff rattles the speakers sometimes lmao.

I say other since Texas Country just isn't the same to me as the Nashville "stuff". And I impress people who I'm in class with that I wear Wranglers, Twisted Xs, and a belt buckle that takes a few seconds to read and yet I listen to rock. The most :q:rap:q: I listen to is Jay-Z with Linkin Park. :p:

I put down country, and if you looked at me (wranglers, belt buckle with my brand on it, black cowboy hat. And this is how I dress at work)you would guess that but hand me a gitfiddle (guitar) and I love to play Metallica, go figure, I graduated high school in the early 80's and Sirius Hair nation is one of my favorites.

Growing up I lived with my grandmother who would only allow me to listen to country so I'm very familiar with that genre. However, around '96-'97, I noticed that all the new country music was sounding boring and repetitive. I can't stand pretty much all of the new country music made after '97. So, even though I'll listen to country every once in a while, I mostly listen to rock/metal. Most of the songs on my iTunes are hard rock and metal but I have a few rap songs, the entire soundtrack to the movie The Blues Brothers and quite a few Weird Al Yankovic songs on there as well. I think the 2.5 years I lived across the street from a karaoke bar kinda opened my eyes as far as good music goes.
