What an idiot!! I guess they haven't got to the whole "It's illegal to threaten the President's life and you will be sent to a butt hole ripping prison if you do" part of the lesson plan at his school.

 

i don't mean to start an argument but an "other forum" once told me they don't have to abide by us laws because this is the world wide web. therefor we don't have freedom of speech here.

 

Really? I didn't know that. I guess I really haven't read up on it either, though.

I've always been under the impression that if it's a U.S. based business then it had to play by our rules.

I think that in part is a separate issue. I believe they're take on it is that they own the site and therefore can dictate the content that is allowed based on their standards. I believe that to be true. Much like I can't walk into my office, put my arm around the company president and tell him he's a pretty nice guy for a f***head. (He's not by the way. Very nice guy.) I mean I could, but I'd be canned immediately (for good reason) and there's nothing the ACLU can or would do about it.

 

well that would be slander thats an other issue...
it's a long story it was almost a year ago and harldy remember what it was about but slander was not involved.
