Okay here it goes. I was on twisted mountain highway lost the right front tire and caught the end of the guard rail. Which ripped open the side. I was only was 3ft away from going over the side of the cliff. Had no cell service, and onstar isn't worth **** when you cant dial out. Started walking down the road to get some service. Finally got a ride from a truck driver to take me to where I got service. Got it towed back to the shop. I put the extra set tires and wheels on it. Drove it around the block. I'm still going to check the rear axles internals for damage. More pics coming soon.

Thanks for all of your support.

Steve

Right before Tramway on 36. Going back down to Redding. Had some installs to do and setting up at the Honey Bee Festival. Getting an estimate tomorrow for the repairs.

Thanks again everyone

#3 - AGAIN, the "diesels in distress" forum is for BROKEN trucks that dont run. The goal is getting the vehicle back up and running. Door skins and paint dont qualify as being in "distress".

#4 - this DOES belong in the Bomb Shelter - and if you posted it in the wrong place, which you did, it isnt your place to question where I put it.

#5 - Did I send Steve an email - No I didnt (which BTW is none of your business) - I am on vacation and havent had the time.

#6 - What is with the attitude?

I am sorry for your bad fortune Steve - trucks can be fixed - the important thing is your alive.

Me too and sorry to hear about your family too. Bad things seem to all happen at once. Stay positive Steve and keep your chin up. Things will get better. Time heals all wounds.
