Vicious dogs-not!
I just saw a news story on yahoo about a 9 yr old boy who was saved by his 18 week old puppy. What they don't say, but clearly show is that it was the dog that has been damned by society, The American PitBull Terrier. As an owner of one of these magnificent animals, I do know that they are not what the mainstream media portrays them as. The story tell how the boy was playing with his dog named "Pinky" is the yard when he noticed a swarm of bees, which he is allergic to, and as they began to sting him Pinky ran into the swarm and distracted the bees so he could run to the house. He says in the video that he could hear her yelping as she was being stung. His Grandmother tended to him, then they rushed the dog to the vet, where it was determined that she had been stung at least 40 times, and was badly swollun, to the point of her eyes being shut, and ears sticking straight out, and actually weighing a few extra pounds! And anyone who thinks poorly of these wonderfull dogs, cleary has never been around one owned by a truly responsible owner. I have two neice's and two nephews with the oldest being 9 yrs old, and I don't hesitate a second to leave them alone with my dog. There are no bad dogs, just irresponsible owners!

I've got a Doberman which have the same negative conotations. She is the best dog I've ever owned. She is loving and very protective and she loves kids. My fiance has a 1 year old neice that rides her around the house .
I've also known several pitbulls and all of them have been great dogs. One used to ride on my center console.
Oh and I hate min pins they are mean little yippsters.

I would say it's actually far less than 80%, probably more into the single digits or teens. If you do little research, you will find that these are some of the least likely dogs to harm people. The misconseption comes from the media who calls every dog attack, a pitbull attack, to where when you have a story that highlights the breed in a good way such as the one I posted, they don't say anything about the breed. And some other little sidenotes, the most decorated dog in the military was a WW1 Pitbull, although I can't remember his name right now. And the first dog to ride cross country was an APBT, which the goggles he who are supposed to be on display in the Smithsonian. And as of a couple years ago one of the top dope dogs in the nation was also a APBT. These dogs truely are what American are supposed to be, kind, carring, Protective, determined, resiliant, very intelligent, and most importantly, they don't take no ****
