so im considering piercing my tongue and wanted to see if any of yall have it done and what kinda work it takes to keep it clean and all. ive talked to a couple ppl but im still really on the fence about it.

i know if i do it im gunna get it done at a good shop and make sure that it is done right.

any advice either way would be awesome

Its not too bad. I got mine done about 8 years ago. Eat good before you go to get it done, my tongue swelled up bad. Couldn't eat much the next day. Think it was cuz all the beer I drank after Its easy to keep clean, mostly keep your mouth away from other people for a couple of weeks.

I think that a guy with his tongue pierced is hot. Just my 2 cents.

 

i had my tongue pierced for 3 years. only problem i ever had was right afterwards, because it was swelled up, not the best thing to do before thanksgiving i would still have it if my ex wouldnt had been mouthing.

 

my other concern is that i both dip and smoke. i dont see the smoking being a problem while its healing and i know i wont dip until its fully healed but do either of yall dip and did it/do you think it would cause any problems even after it healed up (most say 4 weeks to heal but i would probly give it 7 to 8 before i started dippin again

 

i wouldnt dip at all with it but thats just my opion. if u do, u will have to take extra care of it cleaning it. smoking, u will have to wash ur mouth out more.

 

If you're a girl, it's so-so OK; if you're a guy, it's kinda gay.

 

I had mine done about 8 years ago. I had no problems at all it didn't even really swell up and I was eating regular food a couple hours later. I carried a bottle of mouth wash with me for cleaning my mouth out after I ate. It heals pretty fast atleast mine did for me.

Agree! Anyways any guy I have been with that had a tongue ring was no better than a guy without one. So now I see no point in a man having one.
