I hope he wasn't gonna haul that with just those three straps on there. Those coils take atleast 8 chains and dogs if not more. Thats the only way to haul those things but they should've put it on a trailer in a little bit better shape

 

That's one a them new flex trailers I keep hearin about. The back tires only touch when you put enough weight on em to flaten the deck out. These are takin the place of those hydraulic asisst axles.

 

I am amazed the landing gear held up better than the frame!!

Yeah, those rolls are pretty heavy. I think the operator at US Steel said they were 40k lbs when I worked there.

 

My guess is that he crossed a dip (ditch or something of the sorts) and the trailer was only supported by the rear axle and the pin... You go fast enough and bounch that 42,196 (last picture) pound roll of steel and I'm sure it woulld rip the trailer up.

 

ahhh no biggie push that roll back a bit get some zip ties , jb weld and some duct tape and you are good to go......
