Damed if you do, damed if you don't...

A good friend of mine swerved off the road to avoid hitting a little boy on his bike. The kid shot out of a driveway and skidded to a stop right in front of him.....
My friend drove off the road and sideswiped an old oak tree and buried the car in a walled flower bed.

He suffered a broken clavicle and fractured knee.

The parents sued him for the damage to the tree and the walled bed.
That is after visiting him in the hospital to make sure he was okay and thanking him for being able to avoid hitting their son.

WTF...

 

Yea go figure that the folks I rear-ended refused medical care at the scene and both told me they were OK repeatedly, yet the insurance company tells me today that they now have an attorney involved.

If things turn out badly, I will be parting my truck out and trading it in close to stock for something different.

 

TJ, you are not allowed to part that thing out and get something different. I went and looked at mine today. It runs and drives fine, frame appears to be fine. The body shop could not believe that I went THROUGH that pole. The radiator and intercooler have dents but are not leaking. I will post the pictures soon. Get this, the towing company did dammage the bumper(has to be replaced) and they stole my quarters and possibly my CD's, I need to double check under the seats of the truck. I called the owner of the towing company and he said that it was not his problem, but he would look into it. He did tell me however that he did bring my truck to his house before going to the yard to put it in the chain link fence. Link to new pictures to follow.

I kinda figured that was coming when I saw the pics of the van. I feel for ya man, that is what insurance is for. It will pay for it and you should be fine, and when it is all over you guys will just be able to look back at it and laugh while you have a couple .

 

X2 my mom was rear ended and was fine IIRC 6 months later she have to have a major surgery because of the accident. Sometimes it take time for real injures to come out and trust me my mom never got back to 100% that is why ya have insurance.
