I'm lookin for any websites out there like this one that deals with cChevy Trackers in particular. Most of them also cross referance the Suzuki Samuri's and a few others that are about the same. I can't find any real sites. Found a few little get no where places that nobody uses.

I've been fightin with one for a few months now and found a weird switch in it yesterday. The check engine light has been on for some months now but nobody can read the codes because it is an oddball year of computer that they only used in 95's for the one year and it is a California emmissions truck. Just my luck that I have one of the few of these trucks in existance. It drives kinda rough and goes through spells of dying once in a while when you stop at lights and are idling. It just idles down until it dies.

Yesterday puttin a new speaker in it I found a switch hidin under the dash, when I flip it the Check engine light turns off and it drives great again. No idea what it goes to, the wires dissapear up into the dash and I'm not tearin it apart to find out. Looks like it's factory by the way it's installed but who knows.

you probably already know that the suzuki sidekick is the same truck. i'd bet you'd have more luck searching that than the tracker.

i have asked several questions that had nothing to do with datsun z's or conversion. and they didn't crap on me. just helped with great accuracy.

 

Thanks, I'll try em all. I got lots of questions on these things. I have an older model tracker also that I tore the dash aprt to see where this switch leads to and it goes directly to the check engine light. Now I'm wondering if it is a breaker switch of some sort. On both trucks I can turn the check engine light on and off just by flipping the switch.

The older one I am saving as a barn buggy project. Gonna tear the body and most of the interior out and put a dump bed on the back and use it for runnin around the farm with so I can tear it up to my hearts content.
