Well my mom just called to say I got another letter from a different lawyer with a completly different case numer. I don't know if I even feel like dealing withthis tomorrow I may just ignore it .

 

Take that one to the trooper too. They are probably scamming all sorts of people out of money

I would take it too the cop
it may be a scam or someone could have the same name as you or just using it to get out of trouble
I would get to the bottom of it just in case so when you do the custody stuff no surprises for ya

 

I think I would talk to a lawyer. It all sounds a little strange to me and I would be afraid someone has stolen my identity.

 

If you're married now and took your husbands last name, than legally your name has changed right? So the letters aren't even addressed to you if you think about it...

 

Well if I remember correctly my maiden name is listed as my alias. But the cop I talked to ran both my names and the only speeding ticket that showed up was the one I recieved in 2002 which was dropped. And that's correct....I'm proud to say I have a clean driving record. Lol and because I said that I will get pulled over today I'm sure. When the officer called Dallas they had to search in their archives to even find that ticket. According to him either this lawyer is tryin to scam or there was a glitch in the system some where. And I don't have the money to talk to another lawyer I just spent 3,500 on one last week .

ya for the id theft stuff i would recommend lifelock. i have used them for a yr or so with no problems (not that i would have any anyway) but they (according to what ive read and heard) will repair any dmgs from id theft up to 1 million dollars

as for the tickets. take em to the coppers and see what they say. even if you dont have to time make a copy of the ticket and drop it off with him and have him call u with what he finds. GIVE HIM THE COPY that way you still the the original ticket
