so today i was at the gas station and finishin my smoke before i went in for my morning coffee. knowing it was only gunna take a min or 2 i left my truck running and leaned against it to finish my camel. then a lady is walkin in the store and i say morning. she says it back and all is well. when she comes back out she begins to comment on my truck and how good it looks. she (being the smartest person ive ever met) asked me what was wrong with my engine that it was idling so loud. i nicely told her its a diesel. she looked and me and said i thought only 18 wheelers had diesels...that really caught me off guard and i kinda looked around to see if i was the only one that heard her say that. and what do i see as i look around the station 3 dodge diesels 1 chevy and 4 powerstrokes all sitting idling..

just thought id share how silly some ppl can be

 

 

I had a few people ask me if I had a hemi, before I got rid of my dpf/muffler.

 

My best friend and I went shopping and we were behind a dodge with a cummins...and i told her... watch this truck when it takes off... of course he smoked us.....and she freaks out " omg whats wrong with that truck?!?!!!"

i just laughed

 

some ppl out there just have no idea that there is a world around them

 

hell, i had a guy tell me i need to put a tuner on my ford. i asked where i plug it in at. had him stumped. he thought all diesels were electronic.

 

maybe she was just trying to make conversation with you maybe like a pickup line

 

god i hope not...she was a big ol girl...id have to go buy a 1 ton to get her home......

 

Most girls don't know what a diesel is...and yeah, it's pathetic.

 

i know most girls (and alot of guys for that matter) dont know how they work or how they make so much power but she if the first person (thats not a child) that didnt know what a diesel was. also this is in texas where alot of ppl (even those who dont need them) drive diesels.

i wish i knew someone with the new 6.7 ford so that i could confuse the hell out of her with a diesel that makes no noise...
