huge bummer!!!
Ok...so its coming mid april. time to get the old boat out and get er cleaned up.
1. pull er outta the garage. check
2. un cover and apply a thorough clean and interior inspection. check
3. (the fun part) check the fluid levels and hook up the hose. turn water on and let er rip tater chip.
she starts and runs like a champ. yesssss success. oh wait. whats all that water coming out of the drain plug. where the effff is that coming from. upon inspection i find water pouring from the side of the block under the exhaust manifold. cracked 7.4l mercruiser 454 block due to improper winterization.
4. look for replacement block before memorial day when the official boating season kicks off at the local lake bar and grill.
today was a sad day.

sure did...as i have the past 6 years. i guess something was off bc year number 7 was not so lucky. but i have done some checking and have already ordered a new reman block from a guy that bought it fo his boat and decided to go bigger before he put it together. 300 bucks later and probably about two weeks from now and a little more dough i should be back in buisiness.
