The attached video of thermal footage was recorded from an AC-130 gunship from a mile or more away. No rounds were fired by the aircraft. The problem solved itself with no American intervention. Some jihadists were trying to bury an IED made from a 155 mm artillery shell. Evidently they lost the instruction manual ... These guys failed bomb planting CLASS 101.

the pilot or whomever was on the radio at the end of the clip leads me to believe these were actually good guys trying to dig up an ied ... he says something like "we had an ied go off on the volunteers that pushed forward ..."

 

ya i heard that to. the volunteers ?? not sure if good guys or bad.. an not sure if they were trying to burrried it or unburried it.. sure made a big o hole in that dirt road..
