I stayed in a 23rd floor room in a Boston hotel during a Nor-Easta (WINTER SNOW STORM) and it sounded like a Gulfstream G150 idling outside the window. The curtains moved like the window was open.

 

Majestic Wildlife - insect infestation

I stayed in a hotel in New Mexico a few years back that had a scorpian infestation. I have no idea where they were coming from but I didn't sleep very well that night.
