Default Ricer Sayings

i know everyone has ran into a ricer and heard some unusual sayings..... here are a few i heard friday while i was talking to a guy about his turbo Miata (not really a ricer but he use to have an Civic or Accord)

me - What kind of engine managment are you running?
ricer - I got a Wideband and a turbo timer.

ricer - I saw this EVO the other day on TV and it had 1200hp to the front wheels and 1200hp to the rear wheels...... that's like 2400hp total.....

me - what fuel injectors are you running?
ricer - well it's a 1.6l motor so i put some out of a 1.8l cause the motor is bigger.... so that means the injectors are bigger.....

come on guys what all have ya'll heard..... it dosen't have to be a ricer but 9 times out of 10 it is a ricer that says something stupid.......

Funny this thread started. I was talking to a guy with a civic Si hatchback last night even. He told me how if he ever owned a truck it would be just to haul stuff with. Then he went on to tell me about how cool VTEC is and explain how it works.

Overall, he knew his stuff pretty well and it was not an argumental conversation or talking **** on each others vehicles, but I seriously do not see how one can be so happy go lucky over a little car that makes 160 HP and 180 ft lbs of torque (not the Si, the mazde or whatever he is looking to replace the Si with)........

He was also explaining the for sale sign in the window of his Civic Si, saying how once you have more than just the driver in it, it feels like its bogging down. I was then very much in shock and confusion... How can anyone want to sell thier Civic for another rice car? It makes me no sense at all.

He was stubborn on one topic, how his rice cars could rev to 7-8000 RPMs... Guess he should read up on something we shall call all out power all over the RPM band (on a heavily modified truck).

Rant off now.

Oh, and bow, funny you mention that bumper sticker, last night it was on a truck parked right NEXT TO the ricer guy's civic si.

i was talking to a friend who use to drag race hemmi's back in the 70's

he says FWD cars are no good for drags cuz they don't launch properly.
the weight transfers to the back of the cars.
if you wach a vid of a FWD car dragging the front end picks right up.

Not defending them at all but I have been to the Import drag races and they aren't bad. You have to copy the link and paste it in your browser.

those aren't ricers though. those are real performance cars. their modifications are actually useful.
